Higher Cell Viability Using TransIT®-LT1 Reagent Provides
Physiologically Relevant Data on HEK293 Cells

HEK293 cells were transfected in duplicate with 1.5 µg of a luciferase expression vector per well of a 12-well plate using either the TransIT®-LT1 (3 µl) or PolyFect® (15 µl) Reagents. Cells were harvested 24 hours post-transfection and assayed for luciferase activity. Four independent experiments were performed, and cell confluency was assessed before cell harvest, normalized to the cells alone controls and averaged. Luciferase activities were normalized to the TransIT®-LT1 results and then averaged.
